In celebration of the work of 18th Century rococo painter François Boucher (1703 – 1770) Melody Rose designer, Melanie Roseveare has based the collection on a selection of the paintings on show in the prestigious gallery.
A fine bone china side plate designed in an exclusive collaboration with The Wallace Collection, The new Francois Boucher range.
Inspired by Francois Boucher’s ‘The Rising of The Sun’ painted in 1752, the dessert sized plate is a contemporary interpretation of the painting, finished with hand painted platinum details.
Working with a third-generation pottery based in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, the oldest of the famous ceramics towns, Melody Rose tableware is made by combining the latest technologies with traditional craft and highly skilled artistry. Much of the process, including decorating and gilding, is done by hand.
