Catalogue of Glass and Limoges Painted Enamels

Regular price £75.00 Sale

For the first time the Wallace Collection's important holdings of glass and Limoges painted enamels are published in full, launching a new series of scholarly catalogues of the Collection. The catalogue discusses some sixty exquisite pieces of mostly Venetian glassware, including a stunning goblet and an extremely rare French chalice-shaped goblet enamelled with the crucifixion. The brilliantly painted enamels include works by several of the key workshops in Limoges, providing an extensive survey of this important school. Each work of art is discussed in depth and for a number of the enamels the results of groundbreaking technical analysis are given.

This richly illustrated new catalogue is an essential reference work for specialists in the field, as well as for anyone interested in glass or Limoges painted enamels.
